No Valentine’s Day should end without the color red, hearts, and of course chocolate! With that said, I have a few different ideas to help you incorporate those three essential Valentine’s Day elements into your day!
1) Remember, always start your day eating an energy packed breakfast with protein and fiber, even on Valentine’s Day!
Do you like eggs and toast for breakfast?
Create hearts with your toast and color with red berry jams!
Sunning Side Up Egg & Whole Wheat Toast
Do you like pancakes for breakfast?
Add shredded beets to your pancake batter and you will create red tinted pancakes with an extra boost of vitamins and minerals!
Do you like oatmeal for breakfast?
Add unsweetened cocoa powder as you are cooking your oatmeal in the microwave or stove OR mix it in your overnight crockpot steel cut oats! Cocoa powder contains antioxidants!
Cocoa Oats
Do you like smoothies for breakfast?
Blend at least one of your daily fruit (berries) and vegetable (spinach) servings together and add cocoa powder for a chocolate flavor
2) Staying in for dinner?
Spice up your meat and veggies with a COCOA GRILLING RUB!

Create your own grilling rub, if a Kakao Store isn’t located near you. Ingredients: Cinnamon, cocoa powder, sea salt, and spices.
This is absolutely delicious on a juicy lean cut of meat, sweet potato, winter squash, and roasted vegetables! Treat yourself…it’s Valentine’s Day!
3) I know I know, dessert is so hard to resist!
I can think of two ingredients that will satisfy your craving for something sweet!
FRESH FRUIT & DARK CHOCOLATE!
And this time I am not referring to the typical chocolate covered strawberry!
Have you ever tried chocolate with fresh cuties/clementines and blueberries? If not, you are missing out on the perfect flavor and texture combinations!
Clementines Dipped in Chocolate
Blueberry Chocolate Clusters
Now, do I have you thinking about the color red, hearts, and chocolate?
Maybe one of these guilt-free ideas will create a little more love and satisfaction in your day!
I hope you have a happy happy Valentine’s Day!

Yum! Everything looks so delicious and I think the clementines dipped in chocolate is really creative yet simple. I might just have to give that a try.
You need to!
